Four days down, three to go, before this cleanse is complete! This was my first full day at home, and temptation was all around me. Leftover pizza. Leftover lasagna. And I was by myself. And who would know? I would. It's not worth it. I will stay the course. I'm more than half-way there now, so I know I can do it.
I didn't end up making soup today, but I did have my first hot meal since I started this thing. I don't know if I've mentioned, but I'm really not a huge vegetable fan. Nevertheless, veggies are what this cleanse calls for, so that's what I feed myself. Tonight for supper, I had a medley of snow peas, carrots, and cauliflower. I had spices available! So I used them, and they made a vast difference.
Though I'm anxious to get to the point where I can have more variety, I am at peace with where I am right now. I have been in the Word every day. I know I'm not going to die, even if I get a hunger pain. And I know that my body will be clean and ready to take the next step at the end of the seven days.
My next appointment is Tuesday morning. The average weight loss for the cleanse is five to seven pounds so, of course, I'm going to hope to beat those numbers! But, whatever happens, I know I'm being obedient. I know I'm making an investment in my long-term health.
Enjoy your day. Enjoy this blog.
