Five weeks in, and we're still going strong. My knees and ankles are doing just fine. I have replaced running with moving my little legs as fast as they will walk for those blocks. I'm feeling great. I can feel my abdominal muscles working, it seems like, no matter how I move.
I am gagga to be done with the injections, which will end tomorrow. Then I'll go the three days that I'm supposed to go, still on the same eating regimen but with no injections to suppress my appetite. I don't know how it will go, but I'm confident I will survive it. As much weight as I have lost, I still have a long way to go before I have no fat to draw upon!
I am happy to report that I have had no side effects from the shots or from the drastic drop in calories. I worried about hair loss or fainting spells or nausea. I have been fine.
This week has been particularly hard because I've been traveling for work. Don't get me wrong, I have had to travel on and off routinely over the last five weeks, but this week was especially hard. I think it's because I'm getting so close to the end. I'm kind of like a horse at the Kentucky Derby, straining with anticipation for when that gate opens and I'm able to run free, free, free!!!
I can't weigh myself this week since I don't have my home scale, but I'll let you know what my loss is next week.
Enjoy your day. Enjoy this blog.
